Meet the yoruba king who only wears diamond, eats, dresses, sleeps and lives in diamond!

The Olugbo of Ugboland in Ondo and chairman of Obat Oil, Oba Obateru Akinruntan, who rides the same vehicle with Queen Elizabeth of England is a diamond freak!
On his love for diamonds, he said "First and foremost I am very creative and secondly, I emulate the style of our forefathers, wearing royal beads as an old style. You know these days, if you want to become a popular and flamboyant king, you have to use diamonds; Diamond chains, diamond wrist watches, diamond shoes, diamond ring and my muffler is also made of diamond or gold.  And that will make you unique among other Obas and that doesn't make you proud. I like to be the first in everything.  I have the largest oil tank in West Africa today.”
"I also have a wrist watch that cost $1 million. I wear expensive wrist watches, shoes and chains all made of diamond."
On the diamond palace and royal city project he is working on, he said "I want to transform Ugboland. That is what inspired me to build this World class palace that will, upon completion, become not only a monument but a tourist attraction. I want my people to be proud of their kingdom, their heritage and their monarch. Apart from the palace, there is going to be a complete royal city which will have a modern, well-equipped state of the art hospital, world class primary and secondary school as well as a higher institution. There will be a mini stadium, a five-star hotel, which is known as Febson Waterside International Hotel.
There will also be royal guest chalets for my subjects who are living abroad and would want to come home but who do not have houses in the kingdom. My multi-billion naira palace can accommodate over 50 families. Hence, it is rated as one of the best in Africa. It is going to cost well over N15bn to construct and works have reached an advanced stage on the project at the moment."
On his fleet of cars, he said
“I use the same type of automobile with the Queen of England, Queen Elizabeth, we use the same Rolls Royce and Bentley.  Asides that, I have 7 door limousine Mercedes, I want to be the first in everything. The Britons were amazed that an African monarch could do that. I place order in any car manufacturing company anywhere in the world if I want to acquire the vehicle of my choice.
I love driving unusual cars, top of the range. I have driven the Phantom for three years and I concluded that I deserve to have another car. I made my checks and found the Bentley. So I went to the manufacturers and asked for it. They asked me how I wanted it to be customised. They offered to make for me the 2014 edition which will come out in 2013. It is cheering to say that the car was customized for His Imperial Majesty, the Olugbo of Ugbo Kingdom. If anyone buys the car today, I will buy another one. I love to be the best in everything I do.

Aside that I am a car freak and what I wear with the way I dress, my shoe, my royal diamond cap, wrist watches, diamond ring, and my diamond Mofila is the new thing I have added to it now. I do my shopping in London Jeweller, a special store for top ranking personalities of the world.” He said.

The billionaire who described himself as a “stylish king” said all these in a recent interview with City People magazine and PUNCH.
